Default vista questions

does anyone know how to fix the issues in vista when you try to delete/move something and it say "you need permission to perform this action" im the administrator and i dont see why i would need permission to do that.

the other question is, how to fix the problem with the "this file is being used by another process" when you know its definitively not being used by any other processes.

thank you.

any help will help.

uhh for vista i have no clue, but it might be similar to XP. try opening ur Task Manager ALT + CTRL+DEL click proccess tab, make sure the program is not running in the back ground. if its not showing up in the process tab, restart computer, then try to delete. if that dont work, your internet may be accsess in the file. make sure ALL internet broswers are closed. if that dont work, then the application is starting with the computer so open ur MSCONFIG from run is vista has, and go under startup and see if the program is starting with start up, if it is uncheck apply, restart then you will be able to delete.

For the admin rights, check your user settings, Make sure you have all 100% permissions.

If none of this works, scan your computer for Viruses, adware, and spywear. the file you are trying to delete may be a virus, and it wont let you.

Go into control panel type in uac in search bar and it should come up turn off uac this should solve most of the annoying stuff vista comes up with, believe it also fixes the problem of telling you a file is in use so you cant delette it.
