Default CD ROM DRIVE not displaying

windows 7 won't display CD-ROM DRIVE... What could be the cause?

Is it showing up in bios? you can try checking the connections but if they are alright and its not showing up in bios it needs replacing

you could try a different data cable, but its unlikely cables failed unless you have been disconnecting/connecting it

It is not showing in bios. I think replacement is going to be ok.... Thanks for the advice.
