Default Locking up for no reason

Hey all,
One of my Windows 2000 machines locks up for no reason. I have tested it for viruses and came back clean. I have tested the Hard Drive and that has no errors. Can anyone offer a suggestion here?

If its locking up in internet explorer try disabling add ons, if its general programs try running ccleaner or uninstalling windows updates or programs youve recently installed.

Define what you mean by locked up. When, whats it doing when it locks up. What virus program did you scan it with. Get back with those details i can further assist your problem

This has been going on about so I am just rebooting and letting it sit. I am not launching any applications now and then after a few hours it is frozen. This is a server and it has been running for 3 years with the occasional reboot. I scanned it with Malwarebytes and it came up clean. I was leaning towards RAM but I thought I would ask before I went nuts.

If i read correctly, your saying this machine is a 3 year old server? is it a server reciever or controler?

I probably shouldn't use the term "server"...It is a Windows 2000 machine that we use to monitor the printing presses on the floor. We also use it as a work station.
