lol ah..i got a bunch of friends having compatibility issues while running vista, or driver problems...I would set their OS in Compatibility mode but eventually becomes an issue with some newer programs..

Never liked xp but to be fair ive never run it on a decent computer untill now, just installed it on half decent computer but its only got 512mb ram, its had vista since day one run like a dream, just put xp on it and my verdict is its fu@#!g SH!@#*e, it is sooooooooo slow its unbelieveable, i cant believe people are even comparing it to vista or windows7, you really need to give them another try, first time i tried 7 it didnt last a fortnight i didnt like it, now its running 24/7, vistas uac was a pain until i turned it off simple, driver issues, what driver issues when it was new out maybe but its never been a serious problem for me, trust me give it another try and if your not happy with it after a week i will personally book you into a mental health clinic and get you some help.

I agree with you 100%.

All the XP computers I've had get really slow, and my vista laptop, I've never really noticed any slowing down.

You just cant do more than one thing at a time with xp, ive always put it down to the fact that the hardware hasnt been up to much in the past but its not, it was running fine with vista stuck xp on it updated all the drivers and its just rubbish, its not untill you use vista or 7 for a while then reinstall xp you realise how bad it is.

If your going to upgrade, as in part with money would give vista a miss and go straight to seven, i actually quite like vista but even i would have to agree vistas like one of those children only a mother could love, and there are times im not entirely convinced microsoft like it, the one good thing about xp is its easy to get hold of keys for free, the amount of people who are throwing xp computers away complete with keys that can be used again is unbelievable when you consider people are spending good money to go out and buy copies.

Sorry for the late reply again; mi only working computer for now is mi wife's laptop which unfortunately had the Blue Screen of Death; now it's up and running; back to the topic; Yes, I totally agree the XP product keys are like gold; I know a lot of my friends who are just throwing or selling their computers without even keeping a note of the product keys especially if they are still using xp in their new computer it comes very handy once your current product key becomes invalid or over used...
