Yahoo! Messenger is one of the oldest chat clients available today. It is very easy to set up, but if you are having trouble you can follow these simple steps. Make sure you have the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger downloaded before proceeding.
Once you have the installation file on your desktop, double click on the icon. Once the installation manager is launched, Click the “Next” button to progress through the screens. Yahoo! will download and install the remainder of the program, which could take several minutes. Once this is completed, click “Finish” to launch the messenger.
If you do not already have a Yahoo! ID, you can click the option on the login screen to register a new one. Enter all of the required information and click “Create My Account.” Once you have filled out the registration form, you can type your username and password into Yahoo! Messenger’s login screen to gain access to the program. Click “Add a friend” to place contacts in your friend list.
