If your start menu is becoming too cluttered and disorganized, it may be time to do some cleaning. Organizing the start menu is simple, and makes it much easier to find the programs you use most.
The first step is removing unwanted items from the “All Programs” submenu. Right click on any item in this list that you have no use for and select “Delete.” This will not delete the program from you computer, just the shortcut in the “All Programs” section. These steps also work for start menu items that are not in the “All Programs” submenu.
Keep in mind that deleting certain shortcuts will affect the start menu of all of the computer’s users. Windows will alert you when this is the case. You can also right click on the “Start” button and click “Open All Users” to see the shortcuts and programs that can be found on all accounts.
