Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is the most-used web browser in the United States. Unfortunately, it is not the safest option and can leave your computer open to a long list of security issues. Luckily, there is a great web browser available that is easy to install and helps keep you safer online.
The browser is called Mozilla Firefox, and it can be downloaded for free from the developer’s website. Visit the site and save the installation file to your desktop. When it finishes downloading, double click on its icon and the choose “Run.” The program will take a few minutes to install. Click through the “Next” and “Agree” prompts until you reach the end of the setup process.
Double click on the Firefox desktop icon to launch the web browser. You will notice it looks very similar to Internet Explorer, but comes with many more helpful utilities. Firefox is faster, more reliable and safer than Internet Explorer.
