The Windows XP boot logo adds a few seconds to your computer’s startup time. This “splash screen” can be disabled in a few easy steps, making it PC startup move much faster. This will also remove boot up messages that alert you of rare issues, but if you are not running into any computing problems you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
Go to the “Start” menu and select “Run.” Enter “msconfig” in the text box that appears and click “OK.” You will need to enter the “BOOT.INI” tab in the window that appears.
From here you should put a checkmark next to “/NOGUIBOOT.” Click “OK,” and the next time you restart your computer you will bypass the XP splash screen entirely.
