If you use multiple chat programs (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc.), it can become difficult to manage all of your accounts and contacts. Luckily, a free piece of software called Pidgin can quickly merge all of your usernames in one, easy to use platform.

Visit the link above to download Pidgin and install it. Once you have launched the program, you will notice the window looks very similar to those of the other major chat programs. Pidgin will ask you for your login information for the major chat platforms, or you can enter it in the “Accounts” menu.

Enter all of the required information and you will see your friends lists appear in the chat window. Your contacts will still see you listed by your regular username, and you can talk to them just as easily as you did in the individual programs.
