Looking to block any number of specific websites? Blocking websites without any third-party software is quick and easy. This is not the fix if you are looking to block a category of websites, but works great if you need to block specific sites.

All you need to do is go to My Computer…

1. Local Disk (C:)
2. Windows
3. System32
4. Drivers
5. Etc
6. hosts

Next, click on “notepad” to read the file. From here, at the bottom of the screen you will see the local host address (ex. 127.0.0.1). Copy and Paste the address below and type in the website you want blocked next to the address. You can repeat these steps when more than one blocked sites are preferred.
