Rotating the display in Windows 7 is just a couple clicks away and can be very nice for reading or other things.

All you need to do is go into Personalize after you right click–> Go to Display on the bottom left–> ‘Adjust Resolution’–>select the monitor that you’re on–>set the display to either landscape or portrait–> click apply

Now you will see that the display switches from landscape to portrait.
