Manage User Access Control UAC in Windows 7
User Access Control debuted in Windows Vista but has undergone significant usability upgrades in Windows 7.
Make sure you know what you are doing if you disable UAC and we would recommend not changing it for other people as it is a security device designed to help protect your computer.
BeYourOwnIT walks you through making changes to UAC in Windows 7 in this video.
Hello and welcome to another free tutorial video brought to you by BeYourOwnIt.com. Today we’re going to be taking a look at a couple of Windows seven features, specifically the User Access Control feature. It’s probably one of the most annoying features in Windows Vista, but fortunately in Windows seven it displays fewer warnings, and furthermore, you can actually control things a little bit better. And what I’m talking about is the stupid warnings that come up all the time and say, “You need to run this as an administrator,” and all that. So you just need to go to hit the “Start,” button and search for “UAC.” And you will see on the Control Panel it has “Change User Account Control Settings.” And you can control it very easily here with the slider button. Personally I do “Never notify.”
But this is what I’m talking about, User Access Control and saying, “Hey, do you want to allow this change”? And you can click, “Yes,” and it will say, “OK, you may have to restart.”
But that’s how you change the UAC in Windows version 7. Much easier than in Windows Vista. And I hope this helps you out.
