Hello and welcome to another free text support video brought to you by beyourownit.com where we help answer questions on hardwares, spywares, software, and virus removal. We also offer free software tutorials and a whole platform of helpful information on our website at www.beyourownit.com. If this video helps you out, please subscribe. Today’s topic is Windows Movie Maker. It’s actually quite easy to use. Many people don’t even know that it’s on their computer, how to use it or how to run it.

I’m certainly not an expert but what I can show you today is how to use it, how to launch it and some of the things you can do with your videos. Your first stop would be go to start, run and type in moviemk. Hit OK and a launch Windows Movie Maker. You will be able to capture live video device if you have a webcam. You will be able to import video, import pictures or import audio. If you want to import a video, this is from an existing video file. It takes up a ton of formats. AVI, MPEG, MPEG‑1, MPEG‑2, MOV, just a ton of them.

I’ll see if I have a file I can put in. This is a video I just recorded. And so, it will import them. Here is the basic functionality here that I am going to show you is how to add a title and add credits. It’s going to import the video. It may break it up in separate clips. You can meld them all together if you need to. What you do is you can drain the clips down to the lower section. If you want to have a beginning, you can slide them all down like this. Put them back in the correct form.

If you want to really edit them, you can do that, or you can just select them all and drag them down. They will copy in order. Now, you can also do, under the tools, you can add titles and credits. It’s really easy “it’s real intuitive” so you can add a title at the beginning in the movie. You simply type “This is My Title.”  It will show you in the right screen what it is going to look like. This is my title and you can say by “Be Your Own IT.”

You’ll see to the right, it says this is my title. By Be Your Own IT. You can save that change. It will automatically be a part of your product by going down to done. Add this to movie. Now, when you watch the movie, it will start off with this title screen. I don’t want to play because I am not quite sure where I would do my video capture but the same is true when you add credits. Under tools, you can add credits. You can add credits at the end of the movie and use very simple credits directed by or special things, whatever you want.

It will scroll them like credits. Special thanks Jeremy and should say “Directed by…” They’ll scrolls as many as you have, just like movie credits. That’s how you add titles and credits to movies. There’s a whole other things you can do. You can click on the star here and you can drag a video effect so you can have a tile between movies, or in between scenes, or you can zoom in or zoom out in between scenes; try to break up videos.

Obviously, if you watched any of my videos, I don’t do much producing after I do them, but Windows Movie Makers is a lot of fun even if you just want to add titles and credits. Because once you’ve done that, you can save the project, and then you can just choose save movie file, which will allow you to save it as you save in My Computer. Then you can name the movie and it will save it as one big file with a title and everything all for you.

I hope this helped teach a little bit of Windows Movie Maker and if you have never used it before, it’s just maybe for fun; just get in there and start mess around. See what you can do. All right, thanks and remember to subscribe and check out our website.
